There were rumors (or, rather speculations) about Canon EOS 5D replacement (aka EOS 5D II, aka EOS 3D, aka EOS 7D) for over a year. It didn't happen. However now, a couple weeks before photokina the rumors activated again, this time supported by some "secret" advertising on Canon US and UK websites. Will it happen this time? Will Canon EOS 5D successor be announced at photokina 2008? We will see - it's not too long to wait now :)
[Update 12-Sep] There are messages that Canon will announce 5D successor on the 17th of September: French magazine "Chasseur d'images" , and a Swedish source
[Update 17-Sep] And today it was announced. Finally!
